In this release Socrato received major
facelift as a new tab structure was introduced, users were assigned roles and a new drop down "Select Group" has been added to the Reports tab.
New Tab Update:
We replaced the old tabs with new
cleaner and more intuitive ones. The new tabs are Home, Library, Reports,
People, Content and Accounts.
Home - The Home tab is the welcome page for
the user. The contents displayed on this page depend on the user’s role.
Library - The Library tab displays all the
available tests and exams. The library components are now available under the library tab only
Reports - The reports tab displays all the
reports and performances
People - The people tab displays all the groups
Content - The content tab allows the user to add
or upload tests
Account - The accounts tab provides all the
account details of the user’s account
User Role Update:
Every user is assigned a role based on
their type of account. The tabs the users see are in accordance with their role.
Ex. A student will see the Home, Library, Reports and Account tabs where as a tutor
will see the Home, Library, Reports, People and Account tabs.
Added "Select Group" drop down:
Another user interface change was the addition of a
new dropdown “Select Group” has being added to the reports tab to provide easy
access to the group reports.
